Lookie Lookie..

It’s a gift from Darra. I thought I’d post it because I dunno what to do with it. It makes me happy. And it’s there. Lol. Maybe it’ll be a reminder for me to be more dirrty. God knows I need to be a little more dirrty. Oh! It can also remind me that I am beautiful, a fighter, and that I should listen to the voice within shouting “Can’t hold us down.”, unless of course you rub me the right way and give me what I want then I’d totally ask you to come on over.

Thank you Darra. I love you.

Sleeping Over…

So, I’m about to head out to Darra‘s. I’m sleeping over tonight. We’ll see you guys at the Goverment birthday thing tonight.

Darra asked me to tell y’all that she has no decent computer at home and a retarded internet access. But she’ll be here in my house tomorrow, so she’ll have a chance to write something again.

Good night! Sweet dreams! Peace out!

Probably My Last DotA Post Ever…

I haven’t posted about DotA in awhile ’cause I think it’s really kinda lame. I’m not saying the game is lame. I’m saying, “I’m lame.” I mean, I already have an online journal and a cgi crush. Adding DotA to all of that just makes me an über dork. And if I’m an über dork, the cool kids might not talk to me anymore. My life will be so over if the cool kids stop talking to me.

Another reason why I haven’t posted about DotA is because of this one entry where some guy ’caused a bit of trouble after reading my post. The guy told the 129 Square Katipunan tournament champions that I said we kicked their arse. I didn’t say this, of course, because our matches were never concluded due a bad lan connection. Anyway, the 129 Square tourney champions got upset and they paid Joma‘s brother a visit. Joma’s brother was responsible for setting up our interrupted games with the champs. That was the end of my DotA posts until now. I didn’t want to be part of any problem. It was also the end of taking on any challenges from straight boys. I just wanna have fun and play.

Anyway, I just have to say that I’m proud of the straight half of our little Sunday DotA group. Apparently, they’ve been really busy kicking some gaming ass. The straight boys of the original Sunday DotA group are a little more competitive than us gay computer gamers. Lol. They’ve been going around and winning wagers, “getting their money on”. I’m really proud of them. They even played those 129 Square tourney champs and won. I think some folks over at 129 Square were surprised ’cause they came outta nowhere. They were even nicknamed “Team Pugna” ’cause Pugna is a character from the game that isn’t usually used by competition players but used very well by a friend. Now, they’re accepting challenges from so many teams from around Manila and Cebu. I’m so happy for them and kind of proud too ’cause we started them on this game. We were the little group of players who were not from Katipunan*.

*Katipunan is the DotA headquarters. They were playing competitive DotA there before anywhere else in the Metro.

Racing to Get Out

My mother is racist. I can’t blame her though ’cause whenever more Black and Indian people moved into our neighbourhoods, the crime rate would shoot up. People got beaten up and mugged at schools and in the parks, houses got broken into and there were more kids looking like deviants hanging on the street corners during the summers. I remember our summers were one big neighbourhood supersoaker and water balloon fight. That was fun. It ended a year later.

There was one incident that convinced me that my mom deciding to move us was the right thing to do. As much as I didn’t want to leave my friend for the 5th or 6th time, I knew it wasn’t a safe neighbourhood anymore. There was this one afternoon when some bullies on a street corner stole my fries, submarine sandwich and my frosty that I had just bought at the cornerstore. OMG! Just thinking about it makes me all sad. I was on allowance. I don’t buy food during the weekdays so I could buy my fries with the gravy, pepper, catsup and vinegar on the weekends. Food is important to me.

I knew mom was right. It was time to get out.

Can Anyone Tell Me Anything About Vancouver?

I’ve been to Vancouver once ever. I was about 14 years old during that visit. I remember the place being really pretty. I mean, it looked so much more pleasant than Toronto. I grew up in Toronto and, from what I remember, my parents kept moving us around. Every year I’d be changing grade schools, which kinda explains why I’m so f*cked but that’s another story altogether. We’d move to a better/more expensive neighbourhood every year. And a year later, we’d get more Black and Indian neighbours which my mom, being the racist Filipino she is, would totally hate/fear ’em, so we’d pack up our belongings and move to a bigger house with a bigger yard. Lol. I didn’t mind the moving to bigger houses so much. That part, I particularly liked.

Lately, I’ve heard from some friends that all the suburbs of Metro Toronto are becoming totally ghetto. They’ve even given the nickname “Scarlem” to Scarborough. Scarborough was the suburb I grew up in. The highschool I went to, back in the day, was the safest Catholic highschool in the area. I hear it’s all violence and sh*t going on in there now. That’s so sad. What’s happening to Toronto?

I hear downtown is getting prettier though. Lol.

Anyway, back to my question. Can anyone tell me anything about Vancouver? Anyone who has stayed there for more than like 2 weeks? Going to a place for a vacation and going to a place to live in is so different. I don’t think the websites and articles I read on Vancouver should be trusted. I want real people’s opinions. I don’t want the propaganda.

At Panay Strip… (edited)

It was one of those nights when I just had to leave the house ’cause I felt my ass was just getting too wide from sitting in front of the computer and watching television all day. I showed up at Joma‘s house and dragged his ass out too. I can’t be dragging just my ass, all alone. That would be boring. So, since Max had contacted me earlier that day, I thought it’d be nice to meet up with him and Gino since I haven’t seen them in awhile. I knew Max was with Gino ’cause he used Gino’s phone to call me. Uhuh. I’m so smart. Lol.

Anwyay, we met up at this place called Davao on Panay Strip. They had another friend with them named Ralph. I’m pretty sure it’s Ralph. Ralph is a funny name, don’t you think? I mean, liquor stores all around the world are named Ralph. Anyway, here’s Ralph, Max, Gino, Joma and me at this Davao place.

(Gino gets up and heads to the washroom)

Max to Ralph: Blah blah blah… Existentialism.
Ralph to Max: Kamu ..blah blah blah…

Kevin to Max: What?! What’s that?
Max to Kevin: Oh. Kamu. You know?
Kevin to Max: Who’s Kamu?
Max to Joma & Kevin: (pointing to Ralph) He’s Kamu. His last name is Kamu.
Ralph to Everyone: I wish I was related to Kamu.

Joma to Kevin: Isn’t that a whale at Sea World.
Kevin to Joma : No. That’s Shamu. Kamu is probably the father ’cause he sounds way older.

Anyway, Max and Ralph are like really smart. They talk about stuff like that Kamu guy. Joma and I are like into Ultra Maniac. I felt like we were in some kind of Farside comic.

——————————————————–

I wanna thank barf_bag for the correction. It’s Camus not Kamu. I will keep it Kamu on my entry because that’s what I was thinking during the conversation. Lol.

Hi

My computer is being repaired. I’m at an internet shop right now. I think it’s the first time I’ve been to Station 168 intending to check mail and lj and friendster and all that. NOT PLAYING DOTA! Whoa. Weird.

Hopefully, I get the computer back before the week ends. It gets really boring at home without a computer. Grrr.

Are You on Drag?

There’s this Fitness First event coming up called “Momentum”. I’m not exactly sure what it is. What I do know is that the fitness instructors and fitness managers from all around Asia will be here to attend this event. It’s like some kind of fitness conference.

So, here’s the thing. I was requested by a fellow instructor to dress up in drag and perform The Flower Duet with another gay instructor who will also be in drag. Of course, I’ve never performed in drag before. Who am I to do drag?! That is like way out of my league. I’m sure to make a fool of myself if I’d say yes.

Well, I did say yes. It’s coming up in a couple of weeks. OMG!? I’m so freakin’ freaked out. I mean, I’m gonna look like an idiot up there, in front of all these people. This is so loco! Y’all will still love me even if I’m going to be some ditsy Asian boy in drag, right?

Maki and Diane

I wasn’t really having much fun that night. I was waiting for a friend who never arrived. I left the club and headed over to a shop. It was 2:00am. The shop was closed and there were two people hanging out on some benches outside. Maki and Diane were there talking. All I know is one is a designer and the other from Germany. I dunno if I’ll ever see them again. I liked talking to strangers. I stole a shot with my phone.

One Loong Day

It’s Sunday, just past 4pm and I just got out of bed. Most people say that when you lack sleep, there’s no way you can get it back. All I can say is… my body sure as heck tries.

I didn’t have enough sleep yesterday ‘cause I had gotten in from Makati at 5am. I fell asleep at about 6am. I had to wake up early that morning too ‘cause it was my grandmother’s birthday and there was a celebration in Pampanga. Usually, I get real good sleep during these celebrations. Usually, I come in to the party, pay my respects to all the elders, then head off to a bedroom or anyplace that looks like a nice quiet area to doze off. Usually, my mother doesn’t make me promise to stay awake during the party ‘cause, apparently, it’s rude to disappear and sleep.

So, there I was awake and trying to hang on to conversations with my cousins, aunts, uncles and all the other types of relatives around you can think of. I really wanted to go to sleep but mommy would get upset. I was struggling to be entertained, which is so sad. I noticed them bring these babies into a bedroom. I took a peek and they were putting the babies to sleep. Why can’t I go to sleep? Why do the babies get to sleep? I wanted to cry and make a ruckus just so they’d allow me to sleep. Babies have all the fun. They get to eat and sleep all day, and everyone just babies them.

Anyway, I decided to leave the party for awhile. I was so severely bored that I had to get out. Luckily, I had a potluck dinner that evening and I was assigned to bring some sweets. I love sweets. Even in Pampanga there are shops I go to buy certain things. I headed to Aurely’s to buy some little brazo de mercedes like cakes and revel bars. After that, I got some leche flan from Joevine and a sansrival cake from this house in this subdivision in Pampanga. My dessert shopping was complete. Next stop was to get some butong pakwan (dried watermelon seeds) to munch on.

I got back to the party just in time to leave. I got some shuteye in the car on the way back to Metro Manila. When I got home, it was a quick jump into the shower and change of outfit. Dinner invites were for 7pm. It was already 6pm and time to go into hyper drive. I got there on time. Thankfully, there was no traffic.

Dinner went great. The food was just awesome. It was really yummy and there was way too much! Everyone was full to the brim, or at least I’d like to think so ‘cause I was. Wonderful house, wonderful food, and wonderful people. *loves it*

The gathering ended at around 1am, then it was off to M Café for the birthday of Jopa, Lola Poma’s Singapore based brother. It was a short stopover at M Café then we all headed to Government. Government was hell. Due to the absence of Bed, Government was like total tightness. I hated it. I tried to get to the dancefloor to find Rocky but hands kept brushing my crotch. I felt so dirrty that I just turned around and exited. I went in once though and danced to Shake It off. The rest of the time, I was just outside or on the benches by my cousin’s shop.

5 Days of Megamall

I just realised that I’ve been to Megamall five times this week. I now know that parking is Megamall is a bitch on Saturdays and Sundays. Every other day of the week, it’s quite spacious. Anyway, twice this week, the reason for my return to Megamall was to return something. Yesterday, I was there to have a shirt I bought exchanged ’cause it had a snag that I hadn’t noticed. Today, I went to exchange a dress my mom picked up yesterday. The dress she tried on was a different length from the dress she got. Weird. Both articles of clothing came from Chocolate. So be careful if you do drop by Chocolate, Megamall. You might have to turn around and return something the next day.

Anyway, since this is like my fifth visit to the Pasig/Mandaluyong area, I was not looking forward to driving to Megamall again. I tried to think of something else to do and it occurred to me that Store for All Seasons was in that area. So, before heading to Megamall, I grabbed my sister to accompany me and I took a quick detour to SFAS. It’s a really cute shop. My sister immediately picked up a jacket and decided to purchase it. I was looking around through all these cute clothes that I probably wouldn’t wear unless I was like über thin, which I’m not. But then, something totally caught my eye… I’m sure it’d catch your attention too… Oh, you know who you are?!

Uhuh… Isn’t this awesome?

…and what did I get?

Digicams for Dumdums Part Deux

Well, I bought a camera. It’s 3.2 megapixels and it’s pretty. Did I mention that I found it pretty? That’s how I picked it out. I thought, that as long as it’s at least 3 megapixels, then I can just concentrate on what I want it to look like. So I ended up with a camera, and no more headaches concerning features. Oh, it’s not only pretty, it’s cheap too! It was cheaper than all of the other cameras I was considering… and prettier. Also, Steve gave it good reviews, which makes me even happier. Ahihihi… 😀

Isn’t it pretty? And it’ll match my iPod too.

*glee*

Digicams for Dumdums

I had plans of working out today but, once again, I was totally distracted and couldn’t get my mind off of canvassing for digicams. I suck. Anyway, Charles accompanied me on this little search of mine, which after more than five hours of walking felt like a work out. We went through Greenhills, which was easy, and Megamall, Which was not. I was looking through at Canon, Sony, Olympus and Kodak cameras. At about five hour mark of our little escapade, I was leaning towards this cute little Canon camera that came in the colour garnet, but I decided to purchase it in another mall where it came with all these freebies.

As we were about to exit, we stopped and watched the people ice skating one level below us. That’s when I noticed that we’ve missed one store. It was like some yucky, dirty Konica store. Still, it was a camera store, so off we went into the dirty store. There, I saw some cute Casio cameras. Charles, looked at one of ’em and bought it. So, okay, I went looking for a digicam for me and Charles buys one for himself. Sheesh.

I couldn’t buy one just like that ’cause I have to put so many things into consideration before making a purchase. I was thinking about features, quality of photos, price, needs, and how pretty it is. Anyway, so Charles has a camera and I don’t. That sucks. I suck. So now, I’m picking one aspect of camera shopping and I’m concentrating on that. In my next mall adventure, I will look at how pretty the camera is first. Pretty, meaning colour, size and shape. As long as it takes pictures that look like pictures, I’ll be fine. I’ve had enough of all the megapixels, processors, lcds, zooms, lenses, shutter speeds, exposure compensations, white balances and other crap that I don’t understand and will never really use anyway.
